School Uniform Policy

We take great pride in our appearance at Halfway Junior School!

school uniform, as with any uniform or kit, provides a strong sense of belonging, equality and community. We aim to develop pride in our school badge and a sense  of identity and belonging through our uniform and therefore we strongly promote our school uniform policy.

The children wear navy or jade polo shirts and sweatshirts (plain or with a logo), with plain black or grey skirts/trousers and plain black footwear. We encourage sensible footear to enable children to safely engage in energetic breaktime play. Please be mindful of the activities your child enjoys at breaktime when choosing footwear.

For PE, children wear a white t-shirt (plain or with a logo), plain navy shorts as well as tracksuit bottoms and a top (for outdoor PE). Children must have a change of shoes for PE; either pumps or trainers.

Children are only allowed to wear watches and small stud earrings and these must be removed (or taped up) for PE. We strongly discourage children from wearing any other forms of jewellery for safety reasons and school can not be held responsible for loss of expensive items.

You can purchase our uniform from Pinder's Schoolwear which is located in Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre (East Mall) or children can wear the school colours without a logo, which can be purchased at most of our local supermarkets.
